We are all familiar with the concept of self-esteem, which is defined as belief in your own value and abilities. But have you heard of self-affirmation?
Reminding ourselves of what we believe in is positive self-affirmation. And regular efforts to engage in positive affirmation can help us lower our anxiety, achieve better health and break bad habits. It can create the confidence to pursue new opportunities or bring the peace needed to come to terms with difficult transitions.
One of the best ways to practice positive affirmation is through meditation.
