You may have seen some headlines about a study conducted by Brown University that reported that women may benefit more from mindfulness practice than men. But it has less to do with gender than it does with how we process information.

It probably comes as no surprise that we tend to fixate over our problems, whereas men often look for distractions from them. When we become consumed by issues in our personal or professional lives, we naturally become more stressed.

That’s why women benefit more from meditation and mindfulness exercises, because it enables us to tune into our emotions and shift the way we think. It allows us to make positive changes and create a more fulfilling life.
