At this time of year, when as we eagerly await more sunlight, the blues can set in. But you have the power to beat them by exercising your creative chops.

I know that right now some of you are saying you aren’t creative. But creativity comes in many forms. Do you play an instrument? Do you journal? Do you enjoy cooking? Perhaps gardening? Maybe you like to paint or craft?

Whatever suits you, the idea is that creativity can be a great way to break through the blues, especially since creative pursuits allow us to express much of what we are feeling without words. They can raise our endorphins (those feel-good hormones), release stress and lower our anxiety.
