Overlooking beautiful Fairy Bay, this is the perfect getaway for our retreat. This cosy, yet spacious property, has nine luxurious guest rooms, which all have private, en-suite bathrooms. Every room is outfitted with comfortable sofa chairs for relaxing and enjoying the scenic views and bath amenities. Aside from the elegant rooms, the boutique property also offers a large dining room, multiple lounge areas and a large collection of books and board games. However, the most popular activity at Fairy Bay is enjoying the beautiful property.

    The Itinerary*: What to Expect

    Friday
    3:00pm:
    Arrival
    6:30pm: Introductions, Drinks** & Dinner

    Saturday
    7:30am: Coffee, Fruit and Yogurt

    8:00am to 11:00pm: Meditation and Class Time
    Start the day by getting centered with a calming meditation. Then, we’ll talk about using contemplation to create and maintain balance and harmony in our lives. We will complete the session with a gentle Essentrics workout to increase strength and mobility.

    11:00am to 12:00pm: Brunch
    Gather for a delicious, healthy brunch.

    1:00pm to 5:30pm: Free Time
    Explore near-by downtown Deerhurst, walk the beautiful property or grab a book for some downtime.

    5:30pm: Reflections
    We will gather for an evening meditation and share insights from the day.

    6:30pm: Drinks** & Dinner

    Sunday
    7:30am: Full Breakfast

    9:00am to 10:00am: Essentrics Class
    We will start the morning with a gentle Essentrics workout to continue to increase strength and mobility.

    10:00am: Reflections
    We’ll close out the retreat by discussing ways to maintain your energy and harmony during the day, no matter what it brings.

    About Me

    I’m Kristi Stangeland, founder of My ParaVita. Once upon a time, I was just like you. I spent many years in the corporate trenches as a CPA for PricewaterhouseCoopers and J.P. Morgan Chase, followed by a series of small-business ventures. I know firsthand the stresses working women face every day — the pressure to build and maintain a thriving career while also being a good mother, partner, daughter, neighbor, and friend.

    After I left the corporate chaos, I made a commitment to helping busy professional women find greater peace, success, and personal fulfillment through meditation, retreats, and Feng Shui. I’d love you to be my guest for a day and discover the transformative impact meditation can have on your life.

    I now share what I’ve learned with other women by creating opportunities for success and personal fulfillment through meditation, retreats and feng shui. Having logged more than 219,000 minutes of meditation since I started the practice more than two decades ago, I am anxious to share my knowledge and insights to serve more women in a deeper way.

    Who is this retreat for?

    This event is ideal for women fatigued from the daily grind and feel like something is missing from their life. If you’re struggling with anxiety and discontentment — or just feel like you’re stuck in a rut — this retreat is for you.

    But I won’t know anyone! Won’t I feel uncomfortable?

    This is a common concern — but fear not. Newcomers are warmly welcomed and within minutes, the conversation is flowing. That’s because my guests are all smart, accomplished, and motivated women and have a lot in common! You may start the day as strangers, but you will leave as friends.

    I tend to be shy in group settings. Is lots of sharing mandatory?

    Don’t worry! There are no forced sharing sessions or awkward tests. You’re welcome to participate as much — or as little — as you like. It’s your retreat and your time, so do what feels right to you!

    I’ve never done meditation before. Will I be able to participate?

    Absolutely! Newbies are welcome. Our meditation classes are geared toward practitioners of all levels. If you’re just starting out, you’ll learn basic techniques for quieting your mind and achieving a state of inner calm. If you’re more experienced, you’ll learn how to maximize the impact of your meditation practice.
